DTM’s Rapid Displacement Tracking (RDT) tool collects and reports on numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of numbers, geography and needs. In the first eights months of 2020, conflict and natural disasters have resulted in new patterns of displacement, particularly in Marib, Al Hudaydah, Al Dhale'e, Taizz, and Al Jawf governorates.  

 

From 01 January 2020- 24 October 2020, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 26,040 Households (156,240 Individuals) have experienced displacement, at least once.

                                                                                                                        

Since the beginning of 2020, DTM also identified other 1,247 previously displaced households who left the displaced location and moved to either their place of origin or some other displaced location.

                                                                                                                        

Between the 18 October 2020 and 24 October 2020, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 340 Households (2,040 individuals) displaced at least once, the highest number of displacements were seen in:

                                                                                                                        

  • Marib (256 HH) – Marib (130 HH), Marib City (42 HH), Al Abdiyah (30 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Marib and Al Jawf.
  • Taizz (66 HH) – Jabal Habashy (13 HH), Al Mukha (11 HH), Mawza (7 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Taiz and Al Hudaydah.
  • Al Dhale'e (14 HH) – Qa'atabah (14 HH) district.Most displacements in the governorate were internal.

                                                                                                                        

Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following governorates and districts.

  • Marib (182 HH) – Mahliyah (58 HH), Rahabah (46 HH), Medghal (37 HH) districts.
  • Al Jawf (48 HH) – Al Hazm (37 HH), Khabb wa ash Sha'af (9 HH), Al Maton (2 HH) districts.
  • Al Hudaydah (35 HH) – Al Hawak (11 HH), Ad Durayhimi (6 HH), Zabid (5 HH) districts.

From 01 January 2020- 10 October 2020, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 24,544 Households (147,264 Individuals) have experienced displacement, at least once.

                                                                                                                

Between the 4th October 2020 and 10th of October 2020, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 207 Households (1,242 individuals) displaced at least once, the highest number of displacements were seen in:

                                                                                                                

  • Marib (107 HH) – Al Abdiyah (29 HH), Al Jubah (17 HH), Marib City (13 HH) districts.Most displacements in the governorate were internal.
  • Taizz (62 HH) – Al Misrakh (12 HH), Salh (10 HH), Jabal Habashy (10 HH) districts.  Most displacements in the governorate were originated from Taiz and Al Hudaydah.
  • Al Hudaydah     (21 HH) – Ad Durayhimi (15 HH), At Tuhayat (6 HH) districts.All displacements in the governorate were internal.

  • Marib (103 HH) – Mahliyah (42 HH), Rahabah (31 HH), Medghal (21 HH) districts.
  • Al Hudaydah     (39 HH) – Ad Durayhimi (21 HH), At Tuhayat (6 HH), Hays (4 HH) districts.
  • Taizz (29 HH) – At Ta'iziyah (8 HH), Sabir Al Mawadim (5 HH), Salh (5 HH) districts.

From 01 January 2020- 26 September 2020, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 23,933 Households (143,598 Individuals) have experienced displacement, at least once.

                                                                                                                

Between the 20th September 2020 and 26th of September 2020, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 372 Households (2,232 individuals) displaced at least once, the highest number of displacements were seen in:

                                                                                                                

  • Marib (194 HH) – Marib City (76 HH) , Jabal Murad (38 HH), Harib (28 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal.
  • Al Dhale'e (76 HH) – Ad Dhale'e (43 HH) , Qa'atabah (23 HH), Al Hussein (6 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal.
  • Taizz  (47 HH) – Salh (12 HH) , Jabal Habashy (12 HH), Mawza (6 HH) districts.Most displacements in the governorate were originated from Taiz and Al Hudaydah.

                                                                                                                

Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts.

  • Marib (205 HH) –   Jabal Murad (66 HH) , Rahabah (52 HH), Medghal (28 HH) districts.
  • Al Dhale'e (62 HH) – Qa'atabah (48 HH) , Al Husha (12 HH), Ad Dhale'e (2 HH) districts.
  • Al Hudaydah (38 HH) – Hays (9 HH) , Ad Durayhimi (7 HH), Bayt Al Faqiah (5 HH) districts.

Between the 6th Sep 2020 and 12th of Sep 2020, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 541 Households or 3,246 individuals displaced at least once, the highest number of displacements were seen in:                                                        

  • Marib   (461 HH) – Marib City (172 HH), Al Jubah (105 HH), Harib (81 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal.             
  • Taizz (30 HH) – Mawza (9 HH), Salh (9 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal.                       
  • Al Dhale'e (29 HH) – Qa'atabah (15 HH), Ad Dhale'e (8 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal.                                                                    

 

Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts.

  • Marib (448 HH) – Rahabah (144 HH),Mahliyah (99 HH),Harib (90 HH) districts.
  • Taizz (27 HH) – Maqbanah (6 HH), Dimnat Khadir (5 HH) districts.                               
  • Al Dhale'e (22 HH) – Qa'atabah (15 HH) district.

From 01 January 2020- 5 Sep 2020, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 22,342 Households or 134,052 Individuals have experienced displacement, at least once.

Between the 30th Aug 2020 and 5th of Sep 2020, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 543 Households or 3,258 individuals displaced at least once, the highest number of displacements were seen in                                                                

                                                                              

  • Marib (334 HH) – Marib City (153 HH), Rahabah (91 HH), Al Jubah (90 HH) districts.  All displacements in the governorate were internal.                
  • Al Hudaydah (58 HH) – Ad Durayhimi (58 HH) district. All displacements in the governorate were internal.                   
  • Shabwah (51 HH) – Ain (30 HH), Usaylan (12 HH),Ataq (9 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were originated from Marib.                                                                                                 

 

Most displacement resulted from increased conflict in the following Governorates and districts.                                                                        

  • Marib (383 HH) – Mahliyah (228 HH),Medghal (77 HH) districts.                                              
  • Al Hudaydah (82 HH) – Al Marawi'ah (20 HH), Ad Durayhimi (16 HH) districts.                                    
  • Al Dhale'e (21 HH) – Qa'atabah (17 HH) district.
