The objective of the Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is to collect information on large and sudden population movements. Information is collected through key informant interviews or direct observation. This dashboard presents information on movements which took place on 21 July 2020 in the town of Ounianga Kébir, located in Ennedi-Ouest Province, near the Libyan border.
Following their deportation from Libya, 34 Chadian nationals (including 10 women and 2 girls) arrived in the town of Ounianga Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 21 July 2020. Upon arrival, they were placed in quarantine, in accordance with the measures taken by the Chadian authorities to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. It should be noted that 57 individuals are already quarantined at this location, in a collective centre. In addition, the 69 individuals who had arrived on 5 July 2020 have completed their 14-day quarantine period. Thus, in total, 91 individuals (including 3 Nigerian nationals and 2 Nigerien nationals) are currently in quarantine in Ounianga Kébir. It should be noted that since mid-April 2020, deportation movements have been observed from Libya to the city of Ounianga Kébir, where the deported persons arrive in a situation of extreme vulnerability.

This dashboard provides information on displacement which occurred on 11 July 2020 in one village of Lac Province.
With insecurity growing on the islands of Lake Chad, 40 households (209 individuals) preventively left the village of Tetewa, located in the sous-préfecture of Kangalam (Mamdi département). These individuals took refuge in the village of Ngororom, located in the Bol sous-préfecture, in the same département.

This dashboard presents information on a population movement which occurred on 13 July 2020 in the town of Ounianga Kébir, situated in Ennedi-Ouest Province, near the Libyan border.
Following their deportation from Libya, 57 individuals (52 Chadian nationals, 3 Nigerian nationals and 2 Nigerien nationals), including 5 minors (aged 16), arrived in the town of Ounianga Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 13 July 2020. Upon arrival, they were placed in quarantine, in accordance with the measures taken by the Chadian authorities to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. It should be noted that 69 individuals are already quarantined at this location, in a collective centre. The 21 individuals who had been placed in quarantine on 23 June 2020 have completed their 14-day quarantine period. Thus, in total, 126 individuals (including 9 Nigerian nationals and 2 Nigerien nationals) are currently in quarantine at Ounianga Kébir. It should be noted that since mid-April 2020, deportation movements have been observed from Libya to the city of Ounianga Kébir, where the deported persons arrive in a situation of extreme vulnerability.

This dashboard provides information on displacement which occurred on 7 July 2020 in one site of Lac Province.
On 7 July 2020, following an attack by armed groups that occurred on 5 July 2020, 97 households (510 individuals) left the village of Tamboua (sous-préfecture of Daboua, département of Fouli) to take refuge in the Tataverom 2 site, located in the same sous-préfecture. These individuals also lost their livestock as a result of this attack.

Following their deportation from Libya, 69 individuals (63 Chadian nationals and 6 Nigerian nationals), including 6 women and 3 children (2 girls and 1 boy) arrived in the town of Ounianga Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 5 July 2020. Upon their arrival, they were placed in quarantine, in accordance with the measures taken by the Chadian authorities to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. It should be noted that 21 individuals are already quarantined at this location, in a collective centre. Thus, in total, 90 individuals (including 6 Nigerian nationals) are currently in quarantine at Ounianga Kébir. It should be noted that since mid-April 2020, deportation movements have been observed from Libya to the town of Ounianga Kébir, where the deported persons arrive in a situation of extreme vulnerability.

Following their deportation from Libya, 61 Chadian nationals (all male adults) arrived in the town of Ounianga-Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 23 June 2020. Upon arrival, 21 of them were quarantined, in line with preventive measures taken by Chadian authorities in order to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. The rest of the people were dispersed around the city. It should be noted that since mid-April 2020, deportations movements have been observed from Libya to the city of Ounianga-Kébir and the deported individuals arrive there in a situation of extreme vulnerability.

This dashboard presents information on a population movement which occurred on 27 May 2020 in the town of Ounianga Kébir, situated in Ennedi-Ouest Province, near the Libyan border.
Following their deportation from Libya, 39 Chadian nationals (all male adults) arrived in the town of Ounianga Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 27 May 2020. Upon arrival, these individuals were quarantined, in line with preventive measures taken by Chadian authorities in order to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. It should be noted that 68 individuals are already quarantined at this location. Thus, in total, 107 individuals (all Chadian nationals) are currently quarantined in the town of Ounianga Kébir. Furthermore, 114 individuals left the town by their own means, among the 321 who had already completed their 14-day quarantine period, but who could not travel due to restrictions on internal mobility. As of 27 May 2020, 207 individuals (including 10 foreign nationals), who have completed their quarantine period, are therefore still awaiting departure. In total, 314 individuals deported from Libya are currently in Ounianga Kébir.

Following their deportation from Libya, 68 Chadian nationals (66 adults and 2 minors) arrived in the town of Ounianga Kébir (Ennedi-Ouest Province) on 14 May 2020. Upon arrival, these individuals were quarantined, in line with preventive measures taken by Chadian authorities in order to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19. It should be noted that 321 individuals are already confined at this location. Thus, in total, 389 individuals (including 34 foreign nationals) are currently quarantined in the town of Ounianga Kébir. Among them, 278 have already completed their 14-day quarantine period. However, they cannot travel, due to the new ban on entering and exiting Provinces’ capitals and the city of N’Djamena.
