On 23 October 2024, a clash occurred between farmers and herders in the community of Tse Anyinyi in Borkiyo ward, Ukum local government area (LGA), Benue State. This incident affected a total of 103 individuals across 21 households, including 49 children, 32 women and 21 men.

In September 2024, Transhumance Flow Monitoring tool identified 120 herders in Kaduna State and 182 herders in Katsina State. The animal count was estimated at 519 for Kaduna State and 1,328 for Katsina State.

Chad — Situation Update 45 (30 October 2024)

An estimated 910,000 people have crossed into Chad since the onset of the crisis in Sudan, of which 222,743 are Chadian returnees as of end of September 2024. IOM expects this number to rise to 240,000 through to December 2024 due to ongoing conflict and food insecurity in Darfur.
