On 15 April 2023, armed clashes erupted between the Sudanese Army Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in multiple cities across Sudan, including Khartoum, Merowe, Nyala, Al Fasher, and El Obied. In response to the current security situation, DTM Sudan has been receiving preliminary reports of displacement in multiple states across Sudan. These include Khartoum, Northern, Aj Jazirah, Blue Nile, North Kordofan, North Darfur, West Darfur, and South Darfur states. DTM Sudan has also been receiving reports of cross-border movements from Sudan to Egypt, Chad, and South Sudan.

DTM Sudan - Sudan Situation Report is to collect data on displacement caused by the continuing conflict and utilises a broad network of key informants and focal points.
