From the 14th to the 18th of March, the DTM team conducted a thematic survey in 3 districts (Nampula city, Memba and Nacala), interviewing a total of 133 displaced families. Responding to the requests of dierent humanitarian partners, that emerged after local authorities reported return movements from Nampula to Cabo Delgado, the DTM team deployed a team of enumerators to conduct this thematic survey. The objective of the assessment is to better understand the pull factors originating such return movements and to better understand the living conditions of displaced families.

La DTM Burundi a le plaisir de vous partager (dans le lien ci-dessus) le rapport de l'enquête du profilage des ménages déplacés internes de Gatumba. 6 947 personnes (2 741 ménages) vivant dans les quatre sites ont été profilées dont 3 211 personnes (1 311 ménages) à Kinyinya II, 2 005 personnes (762 ménages) à Kigaramango, 1 245 personnes (537 ménages) à Sobel et 486 personnes (131 ménages) à Mafubo.
Les résultats de l’enquête montrent que 92% des ménages vivant dans les sites ont rapporté avoir l’intention de quitter les lieux de déplacement. Parmi eux 51% ont souhaité aller dans un autre lieu que le lieu d’origine, 44% ont souhaité retourner sur leurs lieux d’origine et 5% n’avaient pas encore décidé.

From December 2018 to April 2019, IOM DTM conducted a return intention survey in selected camp areas in Badghis and Herat to identify the intentions, motivations, needs and concerns of IDPs that influence mobility decision-making. The primary objective of the current report is to support partners in integrating the concerns and requirements of IDPs into reintegration strategies and programmes that assist IDPs in finding durable solutions.

The Return Index is a tool designed to measure the severity of conditions in locations of return. Data collection for the Return Index Round 10 took place during the months of September and October 2020 across eight governorates, 38 districts and 2,055 locations in Iraq. During Round 10, an additional 42 locations of return were assessed.

The Return Index is a tool designed to measure the severity of conditions in locations of return. Data collection for the Return Index Round 11 took place during the months of November and December 2020 across eight governorates, 38 districts and 2,076 locations in Iraq. As this round is the last of 2020, some of the changes recorded throughout the year are presented. Since the Return Index Round 7 (collected in November – December 2019), an additional 322 locations of return were assessed (21 locations since Round 10 collected in September – October 2020).

On 13 February 2021, in close coordination with the Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction (INGD), International Organization for Migration (IOM) DTM, and the CCCM Cluster together with the Local HCT and the district authority conducted an intention survey, at household level, in accommodation centres located in Beira district of Sofala province. A total of 81 heads of households (accounting for 400 family members) were interviewed during this exercise to understand their intentions and concerns.

From 6 to 7 February 2021, in close coordination with the Mozambique’s National Institute for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction (INGD), International Organization for Migration (IOM) DTM, and the CCCM Cluster together with the Protection Clusters (including Child Protection AOR), the Local HCT and the Ministry of Education conducted an intention survey, at household level, in accommodation centres located in Beira district of Sofala province. A total of 593 heads of households (accounting for 2,762 family members) were interviewed during this exercise to understand their intentions and concerns.
The findings from the 593 households were used as a basis to generalise to a population of approximately 11,108 individuals staying in the accommodation centres in Beira city. The margin of error on reported findings is 14.1 percentage points with a 90 per cent level of confidence.

La crise sécuritaire que le Mali a connu en 2012 a provoqué d’importants déplacements de populations tant à l’intérieur du territoire que vers les pays limitrophes. Afin d’orienter la réponse humanitaire et de faciliter le retour et la réintégration des personnes déplacées internes (PDIs) et des réfugiés, la Direction Nationale du Développement Social (DNDS), fournit depuis décembre 2014 des informations à l’ensemble de la communauté humanitaire et aux pouvoirs publics afin de répondre aux besoins des populations déplacées, retournées et rapatriées au Mali.
Les opérations de collecte et de mise à jour des données menées dans le cadre du programme DTM montrent une augmentation du nombre de personnes déplacées au Mali. La population déplacée dans le pays a augmenté de 7 pour cent par rapport à octobre 2020. Le nombre de PDIs est en effet passé de 311 193 personnes (rapport DTM d’octobre 2020) à 332 957 en décembre 2020 soit une augmentation de 21 764 individus. Cette augmentation s’explique par l’aggravation des conditions sécuritaires dans les régions de Ségou, Mopti, Tombouctou, Gao, Ménaka et la bande frontalière Mali-Burkina Faso au cours des derniers mois, engendrant de plus en plus de déplacements.

After the impact of Cyclone Idai in Zimbabwe in March 2019, IOM has been continuously monitoring the affected population through it’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) tools. From 26 August -17 September 2020, IOM DTM Team conducted a Return Assessment, Reintegration and Recovery survey (Multi Sectoral Village Assessment) in 79 villages across Chimanimani and Chipinge Districts of Manicaland province. The following section of this report provides an analysis of the current situation of IDPs in the affected village.The main objective of the survey is to better understand the living conditions of the population in order to support recovery and reintegration efforts.

From 26 August to 17 September 2020, IOM DTM Team, in close coordination with the Government of Zimbabwe, conducted a Return Intention Assessment in 6 wards of Chimanimani District and 4 wards of Chipinge District, Manicaland province. This exercise collected data from a total of 713 households (HH) in the 10 wards combined. The following report is an analysis of the data gathered from the assessment, covering household profiles, intentions and livelihood situations. The main objective of the survey is to better understand the intentions and living conditions of the population residing in these affected areas in order to support recovery and reintegration efforts by providing the support needed in terms of shelter and livelihoods.
