This factsheet aims to provide a snapshot of multi-sectoral conditions, needs, and challenges among Myanmar migrants in Chiang Mai province as captured between October 2023 and January 2024 by IOM Thailand’s multi-sectoral assessment of needs. The purpose of this assessment is to provide insights regarding the severity of needs among migrant populations, identify vulnerable population groups and geographic areas with the most acute needs, inform assistance planning and relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets, and provide sectoral and inter-sectoral baselines for future assessments.

From October 5th 2023 to November 8th 2023, the DTM team in Chad has conducted the round 21 of Sites and Villages assessment accross 281 locations.
During this round, a total of 242,205 displaced individuals were identified, including 199,198 internally displaced persons, 27,090 internal returnees and 15,718 returnees from abroad.

DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
