IOM Yemen DTM’s Rapid Displacement Tracking (RDT) tool collects data on numbers of households forced to flee on a daily basis from their locations of origin or displacement, allowing for regular reporting of new displacements in terms of numbers, geography, and needs. It also tracks Returnees who returned to their location of origin.

From 01 January 2021 to 7 August 2021, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 8,487 households (HH) (50,922 Individuals) have experienced displacement at least once.

                                                                                                                     

Between 01 August 2021 and 07 August 2021, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 254 households (1,524 individuals) displaced at least once. The highest number of displacements were seen in:

                                                                                                                   

  • Shabwah (70 HH) – Bayhan (67 HH), Ataq (3 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Al Bayda.
  • Al Dhale'e     (45 HH) – Qa'atabah (21 HH), Ad Dhale'e (19 HH), Al Hussein (5 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Al Dhale'e and Taizz.
  • Taizz (31 HH) – Mawza (7 HH), Al Mukha (6 HH), Al Qahirah (5 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Taizz and Aden.

                                                                                                                   

Most displacements resulted from the increased conflict in the following governorates and districts.

  • Al Bayda (108 HH) – Nati' (61 HH), Az Zahir (35 HH), Na'man (11 HH) districts.
  • Al Hudaydah (39 HH) – Ad Durayhimi (15 HH), Al Hali (7 HH), Bayt Al Faqiah (5 HH) districts.
  • Al Dhale'e (24 HH) – Qa'atabah (14 HH), Al Husha (8 HH), Damt (2 HH) districts.
