In the first week of November 2015, two cyclones, Chapala and Megh, made landfall across the southern coastal region of Yemen. IOM conducted rapid assessments in the affected areas to monitor the situation. As of 26th November, a reported 4,226 families had returned following their preemptive displacement, while IOM estimates that 3,322 families remain displaced in 8 districts and are accommodated in 50 distinct locations. Off the coast of Yemen, Socotra suffered significant damage, with approximately 2,210 displaced households in 30 locations needing assistance – 1,430 households in 11 locations for Hidaybu district and 780 households in 19 Locations for Qulensya Wa Abd Al Kur district.
