West and Central Africa — Quarterly Regional Migration Report 1 (Jan — Mar 2018)
The flow monitoring methodology includes direct observations at Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) that are set up in places of entry, transit and exit in each country, as well as structured interviews with migrants and key stakeholders in transit points to assess movement trends, routes and countries of origin and destination. Two main tools constitute the flow monitoring methodology: The Flow Monitoring Registry (FMR) and the Flow Monitoring Surveys (FMS). The report presents the FMP dashboards, which include information on general trends and types of travelers as well as FMS dashboards which summarize the results of key indicators obtained from each country in which the surveys were conducted.
