As of 25 August 2016, there are approximately 3, 1 million foreign nationals present on Turkish territory seeking international protection. Most of them are Syrians (2,726,980) who are granted temporary protection status. In addition, there are 422.895 foreign nationals
with a residency permit status.
DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
