In 2016, DTM South Sudan has reached and registered 508,143 people across South Sudan. Biometric registration reached 439,715 persons in 19 locations. Paper based registrations reached 68,428 persons in 12 locations. In the context of crisis response, DTM biometrically registered or verified 30,623 IDPs at the Juba UN House PoCs, after the conflict in July and population influx. Movement trend tracking was carried out in Bentiu, Malakal PoCs and six Wau town displacement sites to collect information on migration motivations. DTM conducted two successful village assessment surveys in Bor South County and the Abyei Administrative Area, built capacity in data collection and management with local NGOs (CASI and SSRC in Bor South County and ACAD and APHRO in Abyei) and launched an interactive online portal for VAS data.
