In the period between 8—14 April 2018, 470 Undocumented Afghan individuals returned to Afghanistan through the Chaman/Spin Boldak border crossing whilst 491 individuals used the Torkham border crossing, bringing the total number of returns this week to 961 (182 families). The total number of Undocumented Afghans that returned spontaneously to Afghanistan since 1st January 2018 through Torkham and Chaman now stands at 8,278 (excluding deportations). Out of the total number of returns during the present reporting period, 46% returnees were male whereas 54% were female. The top 5 destination provinces for returns are: Kandahar (25%), Kabul (21%), Nangarhar (15%), Kunduz (8%) and Ghazni (5%). The largest proportion of returns is from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (35.2%), followed by Balochistan (32.1%), Punjab (18.5%), Sindh (11.9%) and FATA (1.3%).
