Since January 2017, overall, 98,645 returnees have been reported returning through Torkham and Chaman/Spin Boldak. Between 21-27 January 2018, 370 returnees were recorded. Out of the total number of returns during the present reporting period, 49% returnees were female whereas 51% were male. 11% of identified individuals presented vulnerabilities. The top 5 destination provinces for returns are: Nangarhar (45%), Kandhar (23%), Kabul (9%), Laghman (7%), and Paktika (4%). The largest proportion of returns is from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (51%), followed by Balochistan (28%), Punjab (14%), Sindh (4%) and Islamabad (2%). Main push factors are the wish to return home, the fear of being deported, and economic factors, while the main pull factors were returning to own country and reunion with family/relatives.
