Activity
- Flow Monitoring
- During the week of 19th – 25th March 2017, a total of 869 (143 families) undocumented Afghans returned from Pakistan through the Torkham border.
- Movement trends for the reporting period indicate:
- Of the total, 62% individuals returned from district Peshawar and 10% returned from Rawalpindi in Punjab.
- Approximately 62% individuals intended to return to Nangarhar, 28% to Kabul in Afghanistan.
- Anecdotal evidence suggests that many families were unable return as the vehicle drivers without documentation (valid passport/visa) were not allowed to cross the border. Subsequently, return trend is expected to remain low over the next couple of weeks.
