During the period of 16 – 22 December 2019, a total of 1,600 movements were recorded, which composed of 1,258 arrivals and 342 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Mobbar and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State. Arrivals were also recorded in Demsa, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Michika, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. Departures were recorded in Askira/Uba, Bama and Kala/Balge LGAs of Borno State. Departures were also recorded in Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Maiha, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State.
ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: voluntary relocation (32%), poor living conditions (27%), improved security (19%), conflict/attack (19%), and fear of attack (3%).
