During the period of 14 – 20 October 2019, a total of 1,301 movements were recorded, which were composed of 910 arrivals and 391 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Konduga, Maiduguri, Mobbar, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State. Arrivals were also recorded in Demsa, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Mayo-Balwa, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State. Departures were recorded in Gwoza and Kala/Balge LGAs of Borno State. Departures were also recorded in Girei, Gombi, Hong, Madagali, Maiha, Mubi North, Mubi South, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State.
ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: poor living conditions (41%), voluntary relocation (36%), military operations (11%), improved security (5%), fear of attack (4%) and conflict/attack (3%).
