Mozambique — Movement Alert Report — 43 (07 June 2022)

Fear of attacks and subsequent confirmed attacks in Ancuabe district by Non State Armed Groups triggered displacements movements between 02-07 June. Recent attacks in Nduli locality triggered the movements of 3,402 individuals to Ancuabe (Metoro), Chuire, Mocomia, Montepuez, Meluco, Metuge and Cidade de Pemba between 04-07 June 2022. Approximately 123 IDPs have been identified with vulnerabilities: 66 elderly, 34 pregnant women, 5 people with disabilities, and 18 unaccompanied/separated children. At least 43% of these movements are departures from sites in Metuge (reporting 02-07 June 2022).
