DTM recorded 159,936 IDPs comprising 26,656 families across 7 governorates. The governorate of Ninewa hosted the most IDPs, 149,448 (93%). Mosul was the most commonly cited district of origin with 126,084 people recorded as originating from there. The majority of individuals (129,048) were residing in camps or emergency sites.
DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
