The objective of the Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is to collect information on large and sudden population movements as well as security and climactic emergencies. Information is collected through phone interviews with key informants and direct observation.
The neighborhood of Jerusalem 7, located in the second section of Varreux, in the district of Croix-des-Bouquets (West Department), were targeted by an attack by armed persons on 22 January 2023. In addition to losses of human lives, burning and looting of houses, this event caused the displacement of approximately 100 households comprising between 500 and 800 individuals who fled to several neighborhoods
