DTM recorded 59,758 IDPs (12,472 households) in seven provinces. Most IDPs were found in Makamba (13,255 IDPs or 2,651 households). 58% of IDPs reported socio-political reasons for their displacement and 40% were displaced by natural disasters. 2% fled for 'other' reasons. 26% of IDPs had been displaced since January–April 2015, 33% since after July 2015 and 39% since May–July 2015. Another 2% had been displaced since 2013–2015.
DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
