During the reporting period (04 to 10 August 2021), a total of 145 movements were recorded - 128 arrivals (5,484 individuals), 14 departures (736 individuals), and 3 transits (102 individuals).

Mozambique — Movement Alert Report — Nº33 (09 August)

Following the recent attacks in Muidumbe and Nangade districts, DTM teams in Mueda continue to observe movements amongst displaced populations with a significant rise of IDP arrivals recorded on 9 August 2021.

During the reporting period (27 July to 03 August 2021), a total of 152 movements were recorded - 140 arrivals (9,016 individuals), 7 departures (76 individuals), and 5 transits (112 individuals).

During the reporting period (21 to 27 July 2021), a total of 133 movements were recorded - 125 arrivals (5,492 individuals), 2 departures (53 individuals), and 6 transits (268individuals).

Following the recent attacks in Muidumbe and Nangade districts, DTM teams in Ancuabe, Namuno, Balama, Chiure, Ibo, Mueda, Montepuez, Nangade, Metuge, Mecufi, and Cidade de Pemba continue to observe movements amongst displaced populations.

Mozambique — Movement Alert Report — nº30 (26-27 July)

Following the recent attacks in Palma and Nangade districts, the DTM team in Mueda reported a large increase of 1,498 individuals arriving between the 26th and 27th July. New arrivals were recorded in Mueda sede (863 individuals), Negomano (199 individuals) and N´Gapa (436 individuals).

Following the recent attacks in Palma district, the DTM team in Montepuez reported an estimated 564 individuals arriving between 23rd and 25th July. Displaced families are mainly coming from Palma (Mute) and from Muidumbe (Muidumbe sede).

Following the recent attacks in Palma and Nagade districts, the DTM team in Nangade reported a large increase of 505 individuals arriving between the 23rd and 25th July. Displaced families are mainly coming from Palma (Olumbe, Quelimane and Quitunda) and from Nangade (Mandimba).

Mozambique | Mueda Transit Centre - Situation Overview (13 July)

The ongoing insecurity situation in Palma has resulted in the increase of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Mueda district. Indicative findings from the IOM DTM Event Tracking Tool observed 736 individuals on the move in Ntandendi bairo between 30 June-13 July.

Zimbabwe — Cyclone Idai Recovery Project Final Report (January 2020 - June 2021)

Zimbabwe — Tropical Cyclone Idai Baseline Assessment - Round 7 (26 April - 13 May 2021)

Tropical Cyclone Idai made landfall in Zimbabwe on 15 March 2019, the country experienced floods and sustained heavy rains caused by the weather system. Its aftermath left households and individuals in need of various things like shelter, WASH facilities, etc.
