From 15 April 2023, armed clashes erupted between the Sudanese Army Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in multiple cities across Sudan, including Khartoum, Al Fasher, Merowe, Nyala, Ag Geneina, and El Obeid.
During the reporting period, between 1 January and 31 March 2023, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 2,495 households (HH) (14,970 individuals) who experienced displacement at least once. This compares to 1,172 households (7,032 individuals) in the Fourth quarter 2022 representing an 113 per cent increase.
Climate change and environmental degradation have contributed to the displacement of at least 55,290 individuals in IOM assessed locations in central and southern Iraq between January 2016 and October 2022.

In April 2023, IOM Yemen DTM recorded 13,414 migrants entering Yemen, a significant decrease of 33 per cent over last month (20,020). In Lahj (11,656 migrants), DTM has observed a decrease in arrivals, down 26 per cent from last month (15,714 migrants).
