The DTM has identified 135,058 internally displaced persons (IDPs) and 29,098 households in the month of April 2020.
Due to the scale of COVID-19 Pandemic worldwide, the Government of Burundi has restricted population movements since 20 March 2020 between the borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Republic of Tanzania and Rwanda in order to prevent the COVID-19 outbreaks in the country.
In Week 22, from 24 to 30 May 2020, a total of 3,059 movements were observed at various flow monitoring points (FMP) across Somalia, of which 77 per cent were incoming flows and 23 per cent were outgoing flows.
