Iraq — Returns from Abroad Dashboard (December 2019)
From May 2018 to December 2019, 12,114 Iraqi returnees from abroad were identified in 15 Governorates, 55 Districts and 444 locations. During this reporting period, IOM Iraq achieved full country coverage.

In order better to understand what the local integration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) may look like in Iraq, IOM Iraq, the Returns Working Group (RWG), and Social Inquiry implemented a targeted in-depth study in Sulaymaniyah and Baghdad Governorates.

The data collection for Round 112 took place during the months of September and October 2019. As of 31 October 2019, DTM identified 1,444,500 IDPs (240,750 households) dispersed across 18 governorates, 104 districts and 3,066 locations in Iraq.

From May 2018 to August 2019, 11,982 Iraqi returns from abroad were identified in 15 Governates. The majority of the identified returnees (70%) came from two countries: Turkey (39%) and the Syrian Arab Republic (31%).

Data collection for Round 111 took place during the months of July and August 2019. As of 31 August 2019, DTM identified 1,552,914 IDPs (258,819 households) dispersed across 18 governorates, 106 districts and 3,106 locations in Iraq.
Iraq — Returns Dashboard 1 (October 2018)
During the reporting period, key informants identified returnees who came mainly from Turkey (54%) and the Syrian Arab Republic (43%). The Governorate of Ninewa reported the highest number (75%), followed by Anbar (22%).
