La Matrice de suivi des déplacements ( Displacement Tracking Matrix en anglais) est mise en oeuvre en Mauritanie pour recueillir des données sur les déplacements et les flux migratoires, ainsi que sur les profils et besoins des populations mobiles.
Dans ce cadre, la DTM développe des produits d'information (notamment des rapports, tableaux de bord, cartes et bases de données) compilant et analysant les données recueillies, afin d'orienter les opérations et stratégies des partenaires et de fournir un aperçu des dynamiques de mouvements de populations dans le pays. Afin d'améliorer les produits de la DTM Mauritanie et de répondre aux besoins des partenaires, une enquête sur l’utilisation des produits d’information a été menée en février 2023.
Ce tableau de bord présente les principaux résultats de cette enquête et donne des indications sur les besoins d’information, ainsi que des pistes de réflexion quant à l'amélioration et l'adaptation des produits d'information proposés.

Floods, accidents, drought, landslides and heavy winds accompanied by hailstorms were the major hazard events reported in the month of April. The disasters affected a total of 19,311 individuals, representing 3,857 households while 552 individuals from 394 households were internally displaced. Adults (19-64 years) were the most affected population group (61%), followed by children under 18 years (31%) and the elderly who are above 64 years (8%).
The most pressing needs are water supply, health and food assistance. 212 individuals were injured, 527 houses were completely destroyed, 98 water facilities damaged and 3 health facilities were damaged. There is notable increase of effects of disasters on the population from January to April. This brings the total number of individuals affected in 2023 to 31,287.

The neighborhood of Savanne Pistaches (located in the 2 ndt municipality section of Morne L’Hopital, in the Port-auPrince Municipality) (West District) have faced attacks of armed individuals as of 26 April 2023. In addition to loss of life, burning and looting of houses, these attacks have also caused the displacement of approximatively 123 individuals (523 households) who took refuge in other neighborhoods of Portau-Prince, especially in the neighborhood of Carrefour-Feuilles (47%) and Bas Peu de Chose (25%). Most of IDPs (94%) took refuge in host communities in while 6 per cent have taken refuge in a spontaneous site in which other IDPs had already taken refuge for several weeks (Site College des Sciences Pédagogiques Essentiel)

Since April 2023 and the outbreak of the conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) across multiple cities in Sudan, IOM has been working to provide direct assistance to the affected population and support partners with a better understanding of displacement dynamics within the country and across its borders.
IOM Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) scaled-up population monitoring by combining Event Tracking, Mobility Tracking, and Flow Monitoring activities, to support evidence-based emergency response and long-term planning with timely and actionable data and information on most urgent needs, demographic profiles, and intentions.
DTM has active operations in Sudan, Libya, Chad, Central African Republic, South Sudan, and Ethiopia, where together with partners and national authorities, field teams capture daily figures on movements, profiles, and needs of the affected population. Data for Egypt is provided in collaboration with the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
As military clashes continue across different parts of Sudan, particularly in Khartoum and the Darfur region, the field teams face severe telecommunication and connectivity issues. Hence, DTM Sudan data is predominantly based on remote interviews with key informants until humanitarian access is ensured across the country.
Available data on population movement is compiled and publicly available in an interactive dashboard. The dashboard provides a summary overview of internal displacement within Sudan and cross-border movement toward neighboring countries.

Ce tableau de bord présente les principaux résultats de suivi des mouvements de la population dans la province du Sud-Kivu à l’issue du dixième cycle d’évaluation conduit par la Matrice de suivi des déplacements (Displacement Tracking Matrix en anglais (DTM)) de l’OIM. Ces évaluations ont été réalisées à travers un exercice de collecte de données conduit du 13 février au 25 mars 2023, en collaboration avec l’organisation non-gouvernmentale (ONG) locale Réseau d’Action pour le Développement et le Progrès Intégré (RADPI) et la Division Provinciale des Affaires Humanitaires (DIVAH) du Sud-Kivu. Lors du dixième cycle, un total de 5 336 villages, couvrant 34 zones de santé (ZS), ont été évalués par le biais de 16 468 informateurs clés.

This report provides an overview of related arrivals to Libya following the onset of armed clashes in Sudan in mid-April 2023. This brief is based on information gathered through IOM Libya emergency tracking and flow monitoring activities in Al Kufra between 15 April and 2 May 2023. As of 03 May, IOM Libya’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) recorded the arrival of close to 700 individuals - both Sudanese and third-country nationals - in Alkufra (Libya) from Sudan and via Chad.
