Activity
- Points of Entry (PoE)
The current outbreak of COVID-19 has affected global mobility in the form of various travel disruptions, restrictions and blockages. To better understand how COVID-19 affects global mobility, IOM is developing a global mobility database mapping the locations, status and different restrictions of Points of Entry (PoE), globally. The information gathered should especially be useful to help States, the UN and other stakeholder to address specific needs faced by migrants and mobile populations during the crisis affected by the global mobility restrictions.
As of 24th March 2020 (17:00 CET) data for the initial baseline assessment of Points of Entry (PoE) has been collected and processed for 84 countries/areas.
