The east coast of Madagascar was hit in February 2022 by two cyclones (Batsirai and Emnati) causing the displacement of thousands of people who found refuge in temporary and spontaneous sites or with families and loved ones. The deployment of the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) by IOM aims to enable government partners and humanitarian agencies to have access to up-to-date and accurate information on the needs of displaced people. In round 4, 11,660 IDPs and 2,974 returnees were assessed.
