The objective of the Emergency Tracking Tool (ETT) is to collect information on large and sudden population movements. Information is collected through key informant interviews or direct observation. This dashboard provides information on a population movement which took place in the 9th arrondissement of N’Djamena, on 28 October 2020.
On 28 October 2020, following floods caused by a dike breach in Gardolé Djedide quartier (9th arrondissement of N’Djamena), 1,600 households (11,500 individuals) were forced to flee their homes. These individuals took refuge on the Tradex site, located in the same arrondissement. It is worth mentioning that 98 households (562 individuals) were already settled on this site between July and September 2020 (see the report on their profiles).
