This Rapid Needs Assessment provides a snapshot of the situation of the Sudanese nationals who arrived in the municipality of Tobruk after the onset of conflict in Sudan in April 2023. DTM Libya conducted a brief assessment on 3 - 6 April 2024 to shed light on the situation of Sudanese nationals in the municipality of Tobruk who arrived after the onset of conflict in Sudan in April 2023. While most are coming directly from Sudan and arriving in Alkufra, a minority are traveling from Egypt and arriving in Tobruk.

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the country has confronted profound economic disruptions alongside widespread displacement. With millions seeking safety and stability, the challenges of maintaining livelihoods, securing employment, and accessing social protection are paramount, necessitating focused interventions to mitigate economic hardships.
This report examines the economic ramifications of the war in Ukraine, focusing on changes in income levels, employment trends, and social assistance measures. Drawing on data from the IOM General Population Survey (GPS), this report aims to support evidence-based programming, policy-making, advocacy, and further research on the subject.

A total of 316 alerts were recorded in March 2024. Among these, 283 alerts (90%) were classified as events, while 33 (10%) related to movements. All alerts in Demsa, Lamurde, Girei, and Shelleng LGAs in Adamawa state were event-related. In Numan LGA, event alerts accounted for 96 per cent of reported alerts, while 4 per cent were movement alerts. Similarly, in Mayo-belwa LGA, event alerts comprised 95 per cent of alerts, while movement alerts constituted 5 per cent. In Guyuk LGA, 80 per cent of alerts were event-related, with the remaining 20 per cent credited to movement alerts. In Taraba state, Zing LGA reported 67 per cent of event-related alerts and 33 per cent are movement-related of cattle. Additionally, Lau LGA reported 67 per cent movement-related alerts and 33 per cent are event-related. Disaggregated ward-level data indicates that Kodompti and Demsa wards in Numan LGA and Demsa LGA of Adamawa state reported the highest percentage of events, each comprising 8 per cent of the total alerts.

L’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations (OIM) met en œuvre activement sa Matrice de Suivi des Déplacements (DTM) en République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) depuis 2013. Le programme DTM en RDC englobe un large éventail d’activités, comprenant le suivi des déplacements, l’enregistrement, les enquêtes et le suivi de flux. À travers ses rapports et ses ensembles de données, la DTM sert de source d’information essentielle sur les déplacements pour la communauté humanitaire opérant en RDC en fournissant des données complètes sur les schémas de mobilité à grande échelle aux niveaux régional et national, ainsi que des mises à jour opportunes sur les crises localisées ou à court terme.
Pour améliorer la qualité des produits de DTM en RDC et répondre aux exigences des partenaires, une enquête en ligne a été menée sur une période s’étendant du 5 décembre 2023 au 26 janvier 2024. L’objectif principal de cette enquête était d’évaluer l’expérience des utilisateurs ainsi que de mesurer les performances de la DTM en tant que fournisseur clé de données sur la mobilité humaine en RDC. L’enquête visait à recueillir des informations qui guideraient les initiatives de développement de produits tout en améliorant la pertinence des rapports pour les partenaires.
Alors que les répondants à cette enquête ne représentent pas un échantillon représentatif des utilisateurs de produits DTM en RDC, les informations tirées des résultats fournissent des informations précieuses concernant les besoins en données des partenaires. Ces données joueront un rôle crucial dans la définition du développement futur et de l’amélioration des produits DTM dans le pays.
