 The current outbreak of COVID-19 has affected global mobility in the form of various travel disruptions and restrictions.

South Sudan — Bentiu PoC Site Population Count (October 2020)

The Bentiu Protection of Civilian (PoC) site was established in December 2013.

South Sudan —Naivasha IDP Camp (former Wau PoC AA) and Masna Collective Centre Population Count (September 2020)

In September 2020, the monthly population count was conducted at Masna collective centre where 5,11 individuals/825 households were identified and Naivasha IDP Camp (former Wau PoC AA) with 9,573 individuals/2,964 households.

The Bentiu Protection of Civilian (PoC) site was established in December 2013.

South Sudan — Wau PoC AA and Masna Collective Centre Population Count (August 2020)

In August 2020, the monthly population count was conducted at Masna collective centre where 4,925 individuals/806 households were identified and Wau PoC AA with 9,295 individuals/2,688 households.

Ethiopia — National Displacement Report 6 (August — September 2020)

In order to capture the displacement and return dynamics in Ethiopia, DTM Ethiopia's National Displacement Report combines findings from its Site Assessment (SA) in Section 1 and findings from the Village Assessment Survey (VAS) in Section 2.

Somalia — Border Point Flow Monitoring (22 — 28 November 2020)

In Week 48, from 22 November 2020 to 28 November 2020, a total of 3,877 movements were observed at various flow monitoring points (FMP) across Somalia, of which 79 per cent were incoming flows and 21 per cent were outgoing flows.

Djibouti — Stranded Migrants (26 November 2020)

Following the border closure in Ethiopia and due to the stricter border management policies in Yemen, some of the migrants who were transiting through Djibouti on their way to or from the Arabian Peninsula found themselves stranded in the country.

In Week 45, from 1st November 2020 to 7 November 2020, a total of 4,749 movements were observed at various flow monitoring points (FMP) across Somalia, of which 69 per cent were incoming flows and 31 per cent were outgoing flows.

In October 2020, a total of 19,932 movements were observed at Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs). This represents a decrease of 34% in comparison with October 2019 when 29,413 movements were observed.
