IOM works with national and local authorities in order to gain a better understanding of population movements throughout Southern Africa. Through the setup of Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs), IOM seeks to quantify migration flows, trends and routes and to gain a better understanding of the profiles of observed individuals at entry, transit or exit points (such as border crossing posts, bus stations, rest areas, police checkpoints and reception centres). This report is an overview of the data collected in these FMPs from 1 to 30 September 2022.

Inter-regional migration from and within the Southern Africa is categorized along the following corridors. The Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) were set-up in several key transit locations along the corridors to track the movements of passengers:

•Zimbabwe – Botswana (Plumtree)

•Malawi (Mulanje) – Mozambique

•Mozambique (Ressano Garcia) – South Africa

•Democratic Republic of the Congo (Kasumbalesa) – Zambia

Over the reporting period a total of 79,546 movements were observed across 49 FMPs in the region. The Zimbabwe – South Africa corridor hosted the largest number of movements with 37,710 (47%) followed by the Malawi (Mwanza) – Mozambique (Zobue) corridor with 9,958 (13%) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kasumbalesa) – Zambia corridor with 8,615 (11%) movements reported.

Ce rapport fournit un aperçu des déplacements et des besoins humanitaires multisectoriels dans les localités d’accueil des personnes déplacées internes (PDI) et / ou retournées. Ce cycle de suivi des déplacements (round 16) a été réalisé entre 01er août et le 07 septembre 2022 par l’Organisation Internationale pour les Migrations (OIM) grâce au soutien du Bureau pour l’Assistance Humanitaire (en anglais, Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, BHA), la Direction Générale de la Protection Civile et des Opérations d’Aide Humanitaire Européennes (DG ECHO) et le Fonds Humanitaire (FH). L’évaluation a couvert 3 474 localités d’accueil des PDI et / ou retournés et 102 sites de déplacement et lieux de regroupement identifiés préalablement avec les autorités administratives locales. Les données ont été collectées au moyen de deux questionnaires structurés multisectoriels (un déployé au niveau des localités et un déployé au niveau des sites) auprès d’informateurs clés incluant des représentants de déplacés, des chefs communautaires, des gestionnaires de sites de déplacement et des travailleurs humanitaires. L’évaluation a couvert les 16 préfectures du pays en plus de la ville de Bangui.

Після 24 лютого 2022 року повномасштабне російське вторгнення в Україну спричинило безпрецедентну гуманітарну кризу по всій країні, що характеризується, серед іншого, переміщенням значної частини українського населення. Ще у квітні 2022 року Міжнародна організація з міграції (МОМ) почала фіксувати значну кількість повернень. Умови повернення значно варіюють, оскільки люди повертаються як до регіонів, які безпосередньо не постраждали від війни, але в яких спостерігається значний притік внутрішньо переміщених осіб (ВПО), так і до регіонів, які постраждали від конфлікту, зазнали суттєвих руйнувань та були нещодавно деокуповані. Через нестабільність поточної ситуації неможливо визначити, яка частка людей повертається остаточно, а яка тимчасово. Однак наявні дані свідчать про те, що українці, які повертаються, мають особливий набір потреб і вразливостей, що відрізняє їх від тих, хто нікуди не переміщувався, і від ВПО. Щоб підтримати партнерів у наданні цільової і доцільної допомоги особам, які повертаються до місць свого звичного проживання після вимушеного переміщення, МОМ презентує цей Звіт про повернення українців. Ця публікація має на меті проаналізувати останні дані МОМ щодо ситуації та потреб осіб, які повернулися, та щодо умов повернення, зібрані в ході оцінювань за Матрицею відстеження переміщень (МВП), проведених по всій країні. Цей Звіт про повернення українців за вересень 2022 року містить детальний аналіз даних, зібраних у ході дев’ятого раунду Опитування загального населення (ОЗН), яке було проведено МОМ у період із 17 по 26 вересня серед дорослого населення України. Географічне охоплення цього оцінювання покриває всю територію України, усі п’ять макрорегіонів (захід, схід, північ, центр, південь та місто Київ), за винятком Кримського півострова і не підконтрольних українському уряду територій. Опитування загального населення було проведено шляхом набору випадкових телефонних номерів, завдяки чому було анонімно опитано 2 002 унікальні респонденти віком від 18 років із використанням методу автоматизованого телефонного опитування (CATI).

L’OIM, à travers l’outil de Suivi des flux de populations (Flow Monitoring) de la Matrice de suivi des déplacements DTM ( Displacement Tracking Matrix ), récolte des données à des points d’entrée, de sortie et de transit clés, afin de mieux comprendre les mouvements de populations à travers l’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre. 

Le suivi des flux de population est une activité qui permet de quantifier et de qualifier les flux et tendances de mobilités, les profils des migrants, et les expériences et routes migratoires. Depuis 2017, plusieurs points de suivi des flux de populations (FMP) ont été progressivement installés dans d'importantes localités du Sénégal  pour faire le suivi des flux migratoires dans le pays.

Après un arrêt des activités entre avril 2021 et mai 2022 marqué par la fermeture des points existants, la collecte de données a repris avec l’ouverture d'un nouveau site à Rosso (Sénégal), permettant de faire le suivi des dynamiques migratoires depuis le nord du Sénégal, zone de passage de la route méditerranéenne occidentale, et des mouvements entre le Sénégal et la Mauritanie.​

Збір даних для 13-го раунду базової оцінки території відбувався з 19 по 30 вересня в 21 області та місті Києві. У охоплених областях кількість зареєстрованих ВПО була зібрана для всіх 106 районів і 979 громад (75 відсотків від загальної кількості громад). Крім того, дані з розбивкою за статтю були надані для 63 відсотків з охоплених громад: з цих територій 65 відсотки ВПО були жіночої статі та 35 відсотків чоловічої статі.

У цьому звіті оцінюється присутність ВПО на рівні громади та області, а також відображається відсоткова зміна рівня ВПО з попереднього раунду. Крім того, у ньому висвітлюється швидкість змін на макрорегіональному рівні та представлені офіційні цифри ВПО на районному рівні за попередні 8 раундів.

The Area Baseline assessment provides granular data on the number and geographic location of officially recorded internally displaced persons (IDPs). Data collection for the Area Baseline assessment Round 14 took place between 3-16 October across 21 oblasts and Kyiv city. In the areas covered, the number of recorded IDPs was collected for all 106 raions and 979 hromadas (75 per cent of all). In addition, gender disaggregated figures were provided across 63 per cent of hromadas– of those areas, 65 per cent of registered IDPs were females and 35 per cent were males.

This report assesses registered IDP presence at the hromada and oblast-levels, while also mapping the percentage change since the previous round. It further highlights the rate of change at the macro-regional level and charts the registered IDP figures at the raion-level across the previous 8 rounds.

The Rainy Season in Sudan typically occurs on an annual basis with greatest concentration between the months of June and September. In 2021, all flooding EETs were implemented between the month of July and October. In 2022, DTM Sudan first implemented its EET to monitor flooding taking place in At Tadamon locality, South Kordofan in May. The need for the implementation of a flooding EET this early in the year reflects the fluctuating raining patterns across Sudan, particularly across the water basins of the two Nile rivers, as well as climate change acceleration around the world.The information provided reflects published data collected by DTM Sudan’s Emergency Event Tracking (EET) tool up to 20 October 2022.

The last flash alert released as a result of the Rainy Season reported on flooding in Kadugli Town in Kadugli locality, South Kordofan on 8 and 9 October 2021. As the rainy season reaches its end, field teams have not released any EET reports following individuals displaced due to flooding during October 2022. Given that the IDP caseload has remained constant, this will be DTM Sudan’s final weekly floods summary this year. DTM field teams will continue to monitor displaced caseload across Sudan and update the humanitarian community should the need arise.
