From 01 January 2022 to 26 February 2022, IOM Yemen DTM estimates that 3,713 households (HH) (22,278 Individuals) have experienced displacement at least once. Since the beginning of 2022, DTM also identified 11 displaced households who left their locations of displacement and either moved back to their place of origin or another location. Between 20 and 26 February 2022, IOM Yemen DTM tracked 265 households (1,590 individuals) displaced at least once. The majority of people moved into/within the following governorates and districts: • Al Hodeidah (117 HH) – Hays (105 HH), Al Khukhah (12 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate were internal. • Ad Dali (47 HH) – Qatabah (23 HH), Ad Dali (22 HH), Jahaf (2 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Ad Dali and Al Hodeidah. • Marib (38 HH) – Marib City (28 HH), Marib (10 HH) districts. Most displacements in the governorate originated from Marib and Ibb. The majority of people moved from the following governorates and districts • Al Hodeidah (137 HH) – Hays (99 HH), Al Jarrahi (11 HH), Bayt Al Faqih (7 HH) districts. • Taiz (28 HH) – Maqbanah (19 HH), Mawza (5 HH), Hayfan (2 HH) districts. • Marib (22 HH) – Al Abdiyah (13 HH), Marib City (12 HH), Al Jubah (4 HH) districts.

Le 16, 21 et le 25 février 2022, suite à des attaques perpétrées par des groupes armés non étatiques dans les localités de Kousseri Ngouboua, Nguelea, Madai et Koubaya, un groupe de 385 ménages (1 372 individus), constitués en grande majorité de PDI, ont quitté les localités de Kousseri Ngouboua , Nguela, Madai, Koubaya, Likitria, Fiakilia et Ngoudi, situés dans la sous-préfecture de Ngouboua (département de Kaya) et se sont refugiés dans les sites de Ngouboua centre, Ngouboua Koura 1 et Malmairi situés dans la même sous-préfecture.

On 16, 21 and 25 February 2022, following attacks perpetrated by non-state armed groups in the localities of Kousseri Ngouboua, Nguelea, Madai and Koubaya, a group of 385 households (1,372 individuals), mostly made up of IDPs, left the localities of Kousseri Ngouboua, Nguelea, Madai, Koubaya, Likitria, Fiakilia and Ngoudi, located in the souspréfecture of Ngouboua (département of Kaya), and took refuge in the sites of Ngouboua centre, Ngouboua Koura 1 and Malmairi loated in the same sous-prefecture.

Following fires that broke out on 10 and 15 February 2022 in the Diamerom and Tigo neighborhoods, located in the villages of Kiskra and Bagasola (sous-prefectures of Liwa and Bagasola, department of Fouli and kaya), respectively, an assessment was carried out by the DTM on 11 and 16 February 2022 to assess the damage caused by these fires. A total of 115 households of 297 individuals were affected. Considerable damage to houses and 67 shops incurred, resulting in significant loss of Non-Food Items, stocks of food products and personal valuables.

A la suite d’incendies d’origine inconnue, survenus le 10 et 15 février 2022 dans les quartiers Diamerom et Tigo, situés dans les villages de Kiskra et Bagasola (sous-préfectures de Liwa et Bagasola, département de Fouli et Kaya), respectivement, la DTM a effectué une évaluation les 11 et 16 février 2022 afin d’évaluer les impacts de ces incendies. Ces feux ont affecté 115 ménages de 297 individus et ont entrainé des dommages significatifs aux maisons ainsi qu’aux 67 boutiques et engendrés la perte des articles non alimentaires, des stocks des produits agricoles et des objets de valeur.

Intense Tropical Cyclone Batsirai was a deadly tropical cyclone which heavily impacted Madagascar in February 2022, becoming the strongest tropical cyclone to strike Madagascar since Cyclone Enawo in 2017. It made landfall two weeks after Tropical Storm Ana brought deadly floods to the island country in late January. Intense Tropical Cyclone Emnati was a tropical cyclone that affected Madagascar, only two weeks after Cyclone Batsirai.

La côte Est de Madagascar a été frappée par deux Cyclones, à savoir le Cyclone Batsirai le 5 février 2022 et le Cyclone Emnati le 22 février 2022.

Le lendemain du passage d’Emnati, les équipes de l’OIM et du BNGRC ont mené une évaluation rapide multisectorielle au près d’informateurs clés dans les sites accueillant des personnes déplacées.

Cette évaluation a été menée dans 22 sites identifiés comme accueillant des personnes déplacées internes.

Elle a été menée le 23 février 2022 et avait pour but de collecter des informations sur la localisation des sites,le nombre de ménages déplacés et les besoins sectoriels prioritaires après le passage de ce second cyclone.

During the reporting period (16 to 22 February 2022), a total of 50 movements were recorded - 45 Arrivals (2,352 individuals), 1 transit (76 individuals) and 4 departures (238 individuals). The largest arrival movements were recorded in Nangade (989 individuals), Ancuabe (628 individuals), Montepuez (290 individuals), Mueda (209 individuals) and Metuge (147 individuals). The largest departure was observed in Metuge (187 individuals). Of the total population captured by the ETT, 74 per cent were displaced for the first time, and 26 per cent of reported IDPs had been displaced more than once prior to this latest movement.
