This latest round of Emergency Trends Tracking was initiated in April 2024 to monitor displacements movements during the Gu rainy season.
This summary presents findings of Mobility Tracking Assessments round 21 (previously known as Baseline Assessments) conducted across Central and Southern Mozambique through key-informant and group interviews at location level between May and June 2024.
In July 2024, 40,118 migratory movements were observed at flow monitoring points (PSF) in Djibouti, including 19,310 incoming from Ethiopia.

As of the end of August 2024, 137,430 individuals (31,025 households) are biometrically registered as active resident in the site, representing two per cent increase in registered individuals since January 2024 following the latest biometric registration maintenance in Bentiu IDP Camp.

This latest round of Emergency Trends Tracking was initiated in April 2024 to monitor displacements movements during the Gu rainy season.
A total of 24,886 movements were observed in July 2024, representing a 10 per cent increase compared to June 2024, when 22,559 movements were observed during this period.
Key findings in July 2024:
As of the end of July 2024, 25,034 individuals (7,090 households) were biometrically registered as active beneficiaries at the site. This marks a two percent increase in registered individuals since January, following the most recent biometric registration update at Juba IDP Camp 3.

IDP and Returnee Overview map in East Region
Between 8 August and 17 September 2022, IOM’s DTM deployed Site Assessment (SA) Round 31 and Village Assessment Survey (VAS) Round 14. SA is conducted in locations hosting a reported 20 or more IDP households, and the VAS is conducted in locations hosting a reported 20 or more returning IDP households that returned after 1 January 2021. The National Returns Map visualizes locations of return, density of return caseload, primary reasons for initial displacement, estimated return figures, and access constraints.
