Tropical Cyclone Kenneth made landfall in north Mozambique the night of 25 April 2019.

This Dashboard provides an analysis of the trends in population mobility observed at two (2) flow monitoring points established at OPRP and Mubambiro Points of Control (POC) around Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Observations were made between the 17th and the 24th of July, 2019.

As part of IOM’s Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) preparedness activities, DTM operates Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) on the borders with Uganda (UGA), the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Central African Republic (CAR). In total, 21 EVD-dedicated FMPs were active in June.

During June 2019, DTM has identified 113,067 IDPs. The main causes for the displacements have been: 77 per cent natural disasters and 23 per cent other reasons.

IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) monitored arrivals from Khartoum to Rubkona Bus Station between 15 April and 30 June 2019.

45 148 mouvements ont été observés sur 8 points de transit dans les provinces de Cankuzo, Muyinga, Rutana et Ruyigi au mois de mai.

45,148 movements were observed at 8 flow monitoring points in the provinces of Cankuzo, Muyinga, Rutana and Ruyigi in the month of May. Flow Monitoring is a component of the DTM methodology aimed at providing information on population movements at points of transit.

Over the reporting period, a total of 145,900 movements were observed at fifteen (15) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Over the reporting period, a total of 29,118 individual movements were observed at six (6) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan (UGA) border with South Sudan (SSD).  Over 41% of all movement was tracked through Oraba FMP (11,969), with almost equal division between outgoing (49%)
