À propos Nigeria

The escalation of violence between all parties in north-eastern Nigeria since 2014 has resulted in mass displacement and deprivation in the states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe. To better understand the scope of displacement and assess the needs of affected populations, IOM has been implementing its Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) programme starting July 2014, in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMAs). The activities of the DTM project, which consist of conducting baseline assessments and registration for IDPs living in camps and host communities, are currently being carried out in Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe.

The information collected will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive profile of the IDP population in Nigeria which will be shared with all relevant stakeholders and will contribute towards enabling the government of Nigeria and humanitarian partners identify the needs of Nigeria's displaced population and develop interventions for providing IDPs necessary assistance.

Nigeria — Displacement Dashboard 29 (November 2019)

IOM manages the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) in Nigeria and other countries around the world, to support humanitarian communities with data on displacement and mobility.

Nigeria — Emergency Tracking Tool Report 150 (16 - 22 December 2019)

During the period of 16 – 22 December 2019, a total of 1,600 movements were recorded, which composed of 1,258 arrivals and 342 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Jere, Kaga, Mobbar and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State.

Nigeria — Flow Monitoring Dashboard 33 (November 2019)

Results show that the average daily number of individuals observed in November, at the FMPs in Nigeria, was 1,163. This represents a 2 per cent decrease compared to the daily average of October 2019.

Nigeria — Emergency Tracking Tool Report 149 (9 - 15 December 2019)

During the period of 9 – 15 December 2019, a total of 2,721 movements were recorded, which composed of 2,117 arrivals and 604 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Damboa, Gwoza, Mafa, Mobbar and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State.

During the period of 2 – 8 December 2019, a total of 2,517 movements were recorded, which composed of 1,662 arrivals and 855 departures. Arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Biu, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Jere, Mobbar and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Borno State.

During the period of 25 November – 1 December 2019, a total of 3,786 movements were recorded, which composed of 2,452 arrivals and 1,334 departures.

During the period of 18 – 24 November 2019, a total of 1,806 movements were recorded, which composed of 1,175 arrivals and 631 departures.

Nigeria — Fulatari Camp and GGSS Monguno Fire Outbreaks Flash Report (27 November 2019)

Three separate fire outbreaks at Fulatari Camp and Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Camp Monguno have left 79 IDPs homeless, and properties belonging to the victims destroyed.

On 23 November 2019, a clash between herdsmen and farmers led to the displacement of a number of residents of Kala’a, Shuwa-Kala’a, Zigayerima, Mambula, Kokuwa, Milna and Dilwachira communities all in the Bangshika ward of Hong Local Government Area (LGA) in the northeastern state of Adamaw

A fire incident at the Government Senior Science Secondary School (GSSSS) Camp, Monguno, on 5th November 2019, at around 11 AM, has left 342 individuals (119 households) without shelters and belongings.
