Over the reporting period, 387 entries and 17 exits were recorded at Kismayo check points, both marked reductions from the previous week. Over half of the new arrivals said that their reason for displacement was lack of food (56%). In addition, 21 per cent cited insecurity, 10 per cent cited education and 7 per cent cited health as their reason for displacement. This week most of the new arrivals came from Kismayo (33%) and Badhaadhe (28%) districts, with the remaining arriving from Afmadow (10%), Jilib (8%), Buaale (8%), and a few other locations. Most of these new arrivals were heading to IDP sites in the Dalxiska Section of sites (22%), which is on the east side of Kismayo town. As for the rest, 19 per cent were heading to Fanole Section, 17 per cent to Galbet Section and 14 per cent to Central Section.
