Somalia – POE Baseline Assessment (June 2020)

In Week 30, from 19 to 25 July 2020, a total of 3,094 movements were observed at various flow monitoring points (FMP) across Somalia, of which 69 per cent were incoming flows and 31 per cent were outgoing flows.

Uganda — Flow Monitoring Dashboard: Uganda/South Sudan Border (June 2020)

Over the reporting period, a total of 4,013 movements were observed at four (4) Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) at the Ugandan border with South Sudan; this represents a decrease of 46% in terms of average daily movements as compared to the previous month.

Djibouti — Stranded Migrants (23 July 2020)

Following the border closure in Ethiopia and due to the stricter border management policies in Yemen, some of the migrants who were transiting through Djibouti on their way to or from the Arabian Peninsula found themselves stranded in the country.

IOM’s biometric registration system has been active since 2014 with 944 004 beneficiaries active in its database to date, out of which 56 per cent (529 095 individuals) are female and 59 per cent (558 863 individuals) are under 18 years old.

In June 2020 the monthly population count was conducted at Masna collective centre where 6,016 individuals were identified and Wau PoC AA with 9 990 individuals. The population of Wau PoC AA marginally increased from 9 ,956 individuals in May 2020 (increase by 49 individuals).

Ethiopia — Flow Monitoring Dashboard 10 (June 2020)

In June 2020, a total of 6,525 movements were observed across Ethiopia’s five flow monitoring points (FMPs). This represents a 122% increase in daily average movement in comparison with May 2020 when an average of 98 movements per day were observed.

Burundi – Rapport d'Enquête des Intentions de Retour de Gatumba (Juillet 2020)

En date du 19 April et 1 Mai 2020, la province de Bujumbura Rural, commune de Mutimbuzi, zone de Gatumba a été touchée par des fortes inondations qui ont affecté plus de 45,000 personnes inclues 17,792 déplacés.
