This atlas contains a summary of findings from the twelfth round of Mobility Tracking conducted across South Sudan through key-informants based assessment at payam and location level between as of December 2021.

As per March 2023 population count findings, the Bentiu IDP camp population stands at 102,436 individuals (17,440 households) in 12,038 inhabited shelters (on average of 6 individuals per shelter). This represents a two per cent increase compared to January 2023.
As per March 2023 population count findings, the Bentiu Town Sites (A, B, C, D, and E) population stands at 71,424 individuals / 9,976 households (on average 7 individuals per households). This represents a twelve per cent decrease (8,402 individuals/887 households) compared to January 2023.
This Aweil South Village Assessment Survey covers a period from 26 March to 30 April 2021. Notably, it was found that 89% of education facilities are functional, and 72% of water points are functional.
This Tonj South Village Assessment Survey covers a period from 4 April to 17 May 2022. Notably, it was found that 94% of administrative buildings, 90% of religious buildings, and 88% water points are functional.
As per January 2023 population count findings, the Bentiu Town Sites (A, B, C, D, and E) population stands at 63,022 individuals / 9,089 households (on average 6 individuals per household). This represents one per cent decrease (5,563 individuals/237 households) compared to October 2022.
This summary presents initial findings from Round 13 of Mobility Tracking conducted across South Sudan through key-informant assessments at location-level in August 2022.
As per January 2023 population count findings, the Bentiu IDP camp population stands at 100,356 individuals (16,821 households) in 11,988 inhabited shelters (on average of 8 individuals per shelter). This represents a two per cent decrease compared to October 2022.
In January 2023, the monthly population count was conducted at Masna Collective Centre where 2,909 individuals/ 598 households were identified and Naivasha IDP Camp where 6,713 individuals/ 1,726 households were counted.
A total of 15,347 individuals (2,600 households) were reported to be residing at the site, at the time the exercise was conducted, of whom 56 per cent were women and girls. Around 38 per cent of households were composed of more than seven individuals.
