During the reporting period, 92 Undocumented Afghan individuals returned to Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing whilst 37 individuals used the Chaman/Spin Boldak border crossing, bringing the total number of returns this week to 129 (54 families). There is an approximate 83% decrease in the total number of returns as compared to the previous week. The total number of Undocumented Afghans that returned spontaneously to Afghanistan since 1st January 2018 through Torkham and Chaman now stands at 18,824 (excluding deportations). In comparison, during the same reporting period last year (Jan 1 – July 28, 2017) a total of 64,619 Undocumented Afghans returned spontaneously to Afghanistan (excluding deportations).
