Nigeria — Fire Outbreak Flash Report Monguno LGA, Borno State (13 February 2023)
A fire broke out in Kuya and NRC 1&2 camps in Monguno Local Government Area (LGA), Borno state, on 11 and 13 February 2023, and many internally displaced persons (IDPs) were further displaced. Most of the affected people lost their shelter and personal belongings including, biometric cards and food ration cards. No injuries or fatalities were reported, and the cause of the fire was unknown.
The disaster affected 270 individuals in 59 households and damaged 45 emergency shelters. The affected people included 114 children, 81 women, and 75 men.
