DTM teams activated EET to monitor the displacement of individuals affected by violent clashes that erupted between an SLA/AW faction and the Bani Hussein tribe on 5 June 2021 in the goldmining area of Dangia village, Kas, South Darfur. The first EET update estimates a total number of 150 individuals (30 households) seeking shelter in open areas of Dangia village. All displaced individuals are Sudanese nationals. Field reports indicate 14 individuals were killed. At least 37 displaced individuals are reported to have additional vulnerabilities in need of assistance and support, and 15 individuals report lost goods, cattle or livestock. Based on a ranking scale, the three priority needs across the caseload are emergency shelter, food and non-food items.
