This Village Assessment Survey report for Baliet County, Upper Nile State was conducted from 25 April to 2 May 2017 covering seven payams. The Baliet County was prioritized by the Inter Cluster Working Group in Malakal due to the increasing number of returnees observed to be moving from the IDP settlements in Melut and Khor-Adar back to their home areas in Baliet County. The objective of the survey is to provide baseline data of the basic needs and critical infrastructure gaps across Baliet County. The survey found that 4 out of the 6 primary schools assessed are functional, 4 out of the 7 health facilities assessed are functional, and 28 out of the 43 villages assessed are deserted.
