On 27 May 2017, IOM carried out an assessment to ascertain the level of damage sustained in camps and camp-like settings due to the storm on the previous day. 20 camps were affected out of the 44 camps assessed in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Jere, Kaga and Konduga Local Government Areas. In total: 3,429 individuals were affected, 552 shelters were damaged, 51 latrines were damaged and 17 shower points were damaged.
