Within the period of 3 – 8 May 2018, a total of 5,881 movements were recorded, including 5,017 arrivals and 864 departures at locations in Askira/Uba, Balanga, Bama, Biu, Chibok, Damboa, Demsa, Dikwa, Fufore, Girei, Gombe, Gombi, Gwoza, Hawul, Hong, Jere, Kaga, Kala/Balge, Konduga, Kukawa, Madagali, Mafa, Magumeri, Maiha, Michika, Mobbar, Monguno, Mubi-North, Mubi-South, Ngala, Nganzai, Numan, Yola-North and Yola-South Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Adamawa, Borno and Gombe States.

Assessments identified the following main triggers of movements: poor living conditions (35%), military operations (24%), voluntary relocation (16%), fear of attacks (11%), improved security (10%), ongoing conflict (3%) and farming activities (1%).
