DTM identified 62,992 families (377,952 individuals) during the reporting period. The most commonly cited district of origin was Mosul (345,072 individuals). The majority of IDPs were living in camps and emergency sites (313,548 individuals). As of 29 May 2017, As Salamiya 1 camp reported an increase of approximately 322 IDP families. Sahlej Village, in Zummar sub-district, recorded a decrease of 177 families, as IDPs were transported to camps. According to official sources, camps in Merkaz Hamdaniya sub-district have recorded large fluctuations between 15 and 28 May. DTM field staff have yet to verify to what extent these fluctuations might be attributed to return movements, movement across the camps, or figures adjustment.
