This dashboard presents the preliminary findings of a survey conducted by IOM/DTM Iraq during the months of November and December 2015 in the framework of the DFID-funded project “Understanding complex migration flows from Iraq to Europe through movement tracking and awareness campaigns”. 93% of migrants were male. 41% had a university degree. 98% did not speak the language of the destination country. 53% were unemployed. 80% selected ‘no hope in the future’ as primary reason for departure. The main source of information was word of mouth (40%), followed by social media. 67% intended not to return to Iraq.
