More than 5 years after the devastating 12 January 2010 earthquake, an estimated 16,497 households, or 61,302 individuals are still residing in 33 IDP sites in the earthquake affected communes. Of the 33 displacement sites still open, 88% are tents and makeshift shelter sites and 12% are T-shelter sites. 3 IDP sites closed between 1 April 2016 and 30 June 2016 due to rental subsidy programmes. When comparing the figures from the 26th round of the DTM to the IDP figures from 2010, a net decrease of 345,020 of the total households (or 1,475,145 individuals) identified in 2010, can be observed.
