Between 25 and 31 December 2023, a total of 915 new arrivals were recorded at locations in Adamawa and Borno states. The new arrivals were recorded at locations in Askira/Uba, Bama, Chibok, Dikwa, Gwoza, Kala Balge, Monguno and Ngala Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the most conflict-affected Borno State and in Demsa, Fufore, Girei, Gombi, Hong, Lamurde, Madagali, Maiha, Mayo-Belwa, Michika, Mubi North, Numan, Song, Yola North and Yola South LGAs of Adamawa State.
ETT assessments identified the following movement triggers: poor living conditions (408 individuals or 45%), family re-unification (139 individuals or 15%), access to humanitarian support (101 individuals or 11%), improved security (82 individuals or 9%), insurgency (68 individuals or 7%), military operations (59 individuals or 6%) and seasonal farming (58 individuals or 6%).
