During the reporting period (22 to 28 March 2023), a total of 46 movements were recorded - 22 arrivals (1,672 individuals), 21 departures (613 individuals), and 3 returns (21 individuals). The largest arrival movements were recorded in Mocimboa Da Praia (1,281 individuals), Macomia (138 individuals) and Palma (103 individuals). The largest departure movements were recorded in Nangade (388 individuals), and Montepuez (101 individuals). The largest return movement was recorded within Ancuabe (21 individuals). Only 2 of the mobile groups were displaced for the first time, 76 per cent for a second time and 22 per cent were displaced at least three times.
DTM Global Survey 2023
The Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Global Survey 2023 is an annual stocktaking exercise which aims to present IOM DTM's operations and activities transparently. The Global Survey focuses on operations active from January 1 to December 31, 2023, with data collection occurring from February to April 2024.
