Recent attacks in Macomia district by Non-State Armed Groups (NSAGs) were reported between 20-23 May 2022, triggering the movements of 1,659 individuals to Napulubo and Macomia Sede between 20-24 May 2022.

During the reporting period (11 to 17 May 2022), a total of 91 movements were recorded - 44 returns (2,097 individuals), 23 arrivals (1,036 individuals), 19 departures (472 individuals), and 5 transits (268 individuals).

During the reporting period (04 to 10 May 2022), a total of 76 movements were recorded - 28 returns (4,487 individuals), 29 arrivals (2,580 individuals), 16 departures (398 individuals), and 3 transits (249 individuals).

During the reporting period (27 April to 03 May 2022), a total of 18 movements were recorded - 7 returns (1,276 individuals), 10 arrivals (311 individuals), and 1 departure (32 individuals). The largest return movements were recorded in Muidumbe (1,118 individuals) and Palma (158 individuals).

During the reporting period (20 to 26 April 2022), a total of 66 movements were recorded - 13 returns (4,957 individuals), 51 arrivals (1,716 individuals), and 2 departures (110 individuals). The largest return movements were recorded in Muidumbe (4,695 individuals) and Palma (257 individuals).

From 6 to 19 of April DTM teams in Muidumbe district have recorded a significant number of individuals returning to their places of origin. An estimated 8,697 individuals have returned in the localities of Mapate, Muambula, Muatide and Namacande.

During the reporting period (13 to 19 April 2022), a total of 41 movements were recorded - 8 returns (3,851 individuals), 28 arrivals (776 individuals), and 3 departures (20 individuals). The largest return movements were recorded in Muidumbe (3,827 individuals) and Palma (20 individuals).

During the reporting period (06 to 12 April 2022), a total of 38 movements were recorded - 7 returns (2,591 individuals), 26 arrivals (1,187 individuals), 2 transits (65 individuals) and 3 departures (17 individuals).

During the reporting period (30 March to 05 April 2022), a total of 40 movements were recorded - 34 arrivals (3,572 individuals), 4 departures (70 individuals), 1 transit (19 individuals) and 1 return (24 individuals).

The first security incidents by NSAGs were reported on 04 January 2022. Recently new attacks by the NSAGs have been reported in the following localities in Mueda district, Mocimboa do Rovuma and Naida. The attacks occured from 24 March in Mocimboa do rovuma and Naida.

During the reporting period (23 to 29 March 2022), a total of 72 movements were recorded - 61 arrivals (3,309 individuals), 9 departures (760 individuals) and 2 returns (100 individuals).

During the reporting period (1st February - 29 March 2022), a total of 104 movements were recorded - 53 arrivals (995 individuals). 32 departures (893 individuals) and 19 returns (1,453 individuals). The largest individuals arrival was recorded in Cidade de Nampula (922 individuals).

During data collection of Baseline Assessment Round 15 (February 2022), IOM DTM teams additionally recorded the presence of returnees in newly accessible locations across Cabo Delgado and Niassa Province.
